The Executive Secretariat of PAME would like to express its gratitude to the workers, the trade unions, the organizations, Federations and Confederations from all over the world that supported and expressed their solidarity with the National General Strike in Greece on November 12.

We would like to inform you that the Strike met great success, while PAME held more than 70 Strike Demonstrations all over Greece with the participation of dozens of thousands of workers from all branches, in both private and public sectors.

PAME received dozens of Messages of Support and Solidarity from organizations from all over the world. We would specifically like to thank the forces of WFTU in Turkey and South Africa for their important initiatives of solidarity to our struggle. In such crucial times of workers’ struggle in every country, internationalist solidarity is an important factor for the victory of the working class. We know that all these actions, either from national confederations or from individual trade unionists and workers, are not at random, but are the result of militant, class relations that are constructed within the great family of the class, militant trade unions, of the

WFTU.

PAME, with the force of yesterday’s enormous strike takes the responsibility to take up more initiatives for coordination and common action for the militant trade unions, especially in Europe for the strengthening of the class oriented trade union movement and WFTU.

The General Strike of November 12 was only the beginning.
